Expotecnológica is the fair led by the Faculty of Engineering and has been a high-impact reference for higher education institutions in the region and the business sector. Within the framework of this event, the XVII International Symposium on Energy (SIE-2022) took place on October 13th and 14th. The event aims to promote the strengthening of the academic community and the formation of new research networks around the thematic axes of the event, as well as to strengthen links between academia and industry. The main themes developed during this event were:

Energy Management: Works related to thermal systems, power electrical systems, efficient and rational use of energy, maintenance of assets, industrial services, and other related areas.

Materials in Engineering: Works related to biomaterials, materials for pollutant control, smart materials and sensors, materials against SARS Covid-19, processes of synthesis and manufacturing of materials, materials for alternative energies, modeling of phenomena associated with materials, and other related areas.

Analysis and Design of Dynamic Systems: Works related to computational modeling, simulation of industrial processes, mechatronic systems, industrial instrumentation, and other related areas.

Sustainable Development: Works related to applied engineering, engineering and society, and other related areas.
