Educational processes and competences in the information and knowledge society of the 21st century

The so-called information and knowledge society is based on the current amount of data, which is generated exponentially thanks to the implementation of emerging and convergent technologies. Likewise, due to the capacities that professionals demand to identify, select or categorize these types of data to later convert them into information and knowledge through consolidation - organization and learning processes respectively. In addition, society changes due to the emergence of new challenges of globalization such as virtualization, multiculturalism, social networks, false information, among others.
