Abstract

Nowadays, technological solutions have been developed through software applications as tools to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, from educational institutions and companies of different economic sectors.  These applications have been of high impact and contribution, both internationally and nationally, with benefits evidenced in the areas of medicine, industry, education, among others. This is made possible through the articulation of massive data analysis techniques (Big Data), geographic information systems (GIS), and artificial intelligence. This article describes the development of a platform implemented in an educational institution as a strategy to comply with the biosafety protocol required by the Colombian Ministry of Health to deal with Covid-19. The platform provides information in real-time, and it helps to take care of the most vulnerable population and allows a progressive return to the facilities. For its development, the Scrum methodology was implemented, obtaining the functional prototype of the platform. The article concludes with a description of the best and most efficient practices found, putting them in relation to the right to privacy and the protection of personal data.
